Doubt of Busyness

The other day I was describing to a friend a newish unpleasant experience I’ve been having:

“a doubt of busyness.”

Whoops! What I had meant to say was “a bout of dizziness.” Which really is unpleasant.

But what about doubt of busyness?

That is, questioning the

hellbent, headlong sprint

we take through our days?

The shouldering of every problem we encounter? The taking responsibility for everyone’s feelings and needs? The running from fire to fire with a hose that dribbles at best? The daily marathon everyone is running alone, without any time to breathe, connect, debrief, or support each other?

Teachers, what would a doubt of busyness look like for you?
