Lovely! Though I don't put much stock in forgiveness. I feel like my forgiveness of someone else is either irrelevant, or worse, a free pass; what's important is personal change. I prefer the term "compassion" because it acknowledges the limit of my influence! Forgiveness implies (at least to me) that I'll make a difference; compassion means I'm pumping out what I've got to give -- love and empathy -- without any expectation of return. Maybe "compassion" and "forgiveness" are synonyms for you. Certainly if forgiving makes you feel better, make it so! When you can, of course!! (And you must forgive yourself if you can't!)
Great, instructive list! Tho I would add “If you’re feeling it, toss in a few ascerbic replies to the trolls just to clear the bile ducts”.
Yes, cleaning out those bile ducts is valuable, which of course leads to actual gratitude for the trolls for giving you the excuse AND means!
I find that forgiveness brings peace of mind when I can find it within myself to forgive.
